Awareness of overtones is SO important for developing intonation and blend in young musicians, but it can sometimes be a real challenge to get students to “hear” the overtones in a sound.  Watch to the end of this brief video to see the surprising way that this teacher “tricks” the students’ ear to hear the overtone!   Do you have any creative ways of teaching students about overtones?  Please share in the comments!
